As an author, my goal is to give my readers the experience they expect. If I’m writing for Noble Romance (Think Kink), I pull out all the stops; if I’m writing mainstream fiction, I often struggle to find softer and more sensual ways to describe those all-important love scenes. No one wants purple prose (throbbing members and honeypots), yet I don’t want my readers skimming because the words penis and pussy make them uncomfortable.
When I need inspiration, I turn to my favorite romance writer, Heather Graham. Her lush descriptions encompass everything from landscapes to lovemaking and help me to focus on the softer side of seduction.
