Happily Ever After

My post is late but better late than never.

Yesterday I hinted about the reason why I am in the romance business. It's because of one of my favorite things, the happily ever after.

I have a few different bios hanging around the internet where I admit that I am a happily ever after junkie. I need it. I want it. I have to have it. At the very least, if I'm not going to get a riding happily into the sunset ending, I need the possibility of a happily ever after. I guess that's where this happily for now business comes from because sometimes riding off into the sunset just isn't realistic. I once threw a book across the room because there wasn't a happy ending. At least in my opinion the ending wasn't happy. I won't name names but the book turned me off the writer for a long while and I am still afraid to try some of her new work.

I have found my own happily ever after. Not only in the sense that I have a good life outside of the whole writing thing but more importantly because I have accomplished my dream. The fact that I have a story being published, let alone three stories in 2010, is more than I could have imagined for myself.

Less than 48 hours until the release of Her Five Favorite Words. My stomach is turning. My heart is racing. I am still in awe that my work will be out there for the world to consume. I will be back tomorrow with another one of my favorite things.

Don't forget to be here Friday, after you buy Her Five Favorite Words of course, when Clara Hanoux will be counting down her top ten favorite things.
